As we wrote earlier, in July and August 2025, our Chinese sister-city in the Sichuan province hosted the International Exhibition Project "The Land of Drawing Children. Drawings from Russia." Children from Volgograd and the Volgograd Region contributed over 50 works: landscapes of their native forests and rivers, sketches from Volgograd's various corners, illustrations of their favorite fairy tales and books...

Some chose to fantasize about the host country, depicting golden pagodas, a bamboo bear, and wise Chinese philosophers over their cups of tea.

Naturally, there were many more applications for the exhibition, and the fair jury had to make some very hard choices before selecting only a portion of the submitted works for delivery to China.

A traveling exhibition of children's drawings from Volgograd opened in Chengdu on July 23, 2025. Its first honorary location was the International Sister-Cities Pavilion, featuring information boards and gifts from Chengdu's international friends. By September, the exhibition had traveled to several other districts in the city of 20 million.
