A new drawing competition for teenage artists – learn more!
Despite the multiple troubles that the COVID-19 brought to our educational system (to say nothing of its direct participants), throughout the year 2020, Volgograd students and their teachers have still managed to apply – and quite successfully! – to a whole plethora of international drawing competitions, organized by Volgograd’s twin-cities as well as by international organizations.
Today, though, it’s our city’s turn to launch a call for talented artists.
Committee for Culture of the Volgograd Region and the State Budgetary Cultural Institution “Volgograd Regional Children Art Gallery” are inviting little artists aged 7 to 18 to take part in an International Children Drawing Competition “Volgograd: a City with Warm Vibes”.
Timed to coincide with the Volgograd Day 2021, it is largely dedicated to Volgograd’s twin and partner-cities. The competition’s organizers are offering all participants to dwell and paint on such topics as:
1. The most beautiful places in my city.
2. My country’s traditions.
3. The most famous people of my country.
4. Look at all the things I know, can, and love!
5. My dreams.
After the work of the jury is completed, Volgograd Regional Children Art Gallery will make an exhibition of the best works in its main premise. A printed catalog is expected to be made, too. The results of the competition will be published on the Gallery’s website, whereas diplomas and catalogs will be sent to the winners by regular mail.
