Twin-Cities of Russia and Belarus Meet in Bobruisk
The 14th Forum of Twin-Cities of Russia and Belarus took place in Bobruisk on October 8–9. The event was organized by the "Twin-Cities" International Association and its Belarusian counterpart.
At the forum, representatives from various cities exchanged experiences regarding current cooperation between municipalities, schools, public organizations, and enterprises. Discussions focused on how to maintain existing ties and establish new ones — even under challenging circumstances.
For Volgograd, the forum provided an additional opportunity to discuss prospects for cooperation with the city executive committees of Vitebsk and Brest. Volgograd already has a partnership agreement with Vitebsk, and a formal "twin-city" agreement is currently in the process of discussion.
It is worth noting that Volgograd joined the "Twin-Cities" International Association back in 1991. The association helps coordinate connections between sister cities and fosters economic, cultural, and humanitarian cooperation.
