I was born on Maxiong Mountain, at 23.5°N and 112.5°E, 2,444 meters above sea level. This is the source of three great rivers. As a clear spring, I start the gentle journey of the Pearl River.

The Faces of One River

I flow through mossy springs and dense forests, cross the plateau like a water town, carve spectacular karst canyons, and nourish 208 rare bird species. My everchanging beauty paints the land.

The Memory of Water

I nurtured the splendid Cuan Culture. I witnessed the timeless art of the Two Cuanshi Steles, and embraced the Buyi Song Festival and Yi Torch Festival. I am the cradle of diverse civilizations.

The Scars of Progress

Uncontrolled development once hurt me deeply. Water quality dropped, ecosystems degraded, and I bore the silent cost of reckless growth. This was a urgent warning from nature.

The Rebirth of River

Thanks to the "River Chief + Chief Prosecutor" system, I have been reborn. My water quality excellent rate reached 100%, forest coverage exceeds 98%, and fish species tripled. I was honored as China's Most Beautiful River.

The Call of the River

I call on you to cherish my natural and cultural value. We can move toward sustainability through green industry, eco-tourism, cultural heritage protection, and clean water governance.

The Gift of the River

I am the green spine of cities, a powerhouse for west-to-east power transmission, and the irrigation artery of Luliang Basin. I support food security and sustain countless lives.

The Promise of Tomorrow

From mountain spring to broad river, I shape landscapes and nurture civilizations, connecting nature and humanity. Protecting the Nanpan River is protecting our roots and future.
